We are here for you; Chief Officer Trade Tells Traders

The County Government of Uasin Gishu through the Department of ICT, Trade and Industrialization will look into all the complaints raised by business people on matters concerning the licensing exercise.

This, according to the County Chief Officer for Trade and Industrialization Simeon Tanui is one of the areas that the administration believes will harmonize and win the traders’ trust.

“No complaint will be left unsolved. We believe in building and empowering business people no matter the challenges” said Tanui on Thursday in Burnt Forest trading centre during a meeting with traders.

The Burnt Forest traders had complained over previous license application where there are claims of overcharging.

“This year we can’t accept to be charged more than what is expected of us,” said Mary Njeri one of the traders.

The County’s Department of Revenue has made it possible for traders to access licenses renewal service at the Sub County and Ward levels without having to travel to the County Headquarters.

Ainabkoi Olare Mca Hoseah Some, Licensing and Revenue Director CPA Jonah Lamai, Trade Director Kipleting Mengich, Ward Administrator Cheptarus Chebon and Trade Administrator Brenda Rono attended the meet.
