The County Government of Uasin Gishu will in less than three weeks give out funds to construct a big water tank to succeed the plan of Bensurur Water Project.
The County’s head H.E Governor Jackson Mandago made the decree as he launched several projects in Karuna-Meibeki Ward on Tuesday.
“I have got utterly pleased on the tomato fields in Kasurur-Kapchekeny village. The people of this village are hardworking and this gives me more challenge to hurry the funds for water tank,” he said.
The Governor commissioned four Early Childhood Development (ECD) classrooms in the ward, bringing the number of the kindergaten units to 580 across the County.
H.E Mandago, flanked by area MCA Hon Josephat Lowoi, thereafter held five barazas with the electorate, some which ran until late at 10pm.
He appealed for farmers to join cooperatives in order to relish loans that were given out to groups at 5 percent interest.
He also spelled out the subsidy for maize seeds and fertilizer, that is besides AI and dipping of cattle.
