WATER FOR NG’ENYILEL RESIDENTS

The Department of Water, Environment, Natural Resources, Tourism, and Wildlife Management on Tuesday visited Murgusi Water Project, Ngenyilel Ward, Turbo Sub County to check on the progress of the project which is serving Murgusi Secondary School and also develop a plan to distribute the water to the local residents.

Water, Environment, Natural Resources, Tourism and Wildlife Management Chief Officer, Mr Simion Kemei while on an inspection site noted that the project has a potential of serving more than 50 households.

“We have a bigger plan of connecting water to the community for the residents to have water at their doorsteps,” said Kemei.

The team later held a public baraza at Chebaiywa to listen to the resident’s complaints on environmental impact caused by the construction of the intake works for Kipkarren Water Project.

Present were Stephen Barno (Director Water), Pauline Kogo (Turbo Sub County Water Officer), Nancy Korir (Ngenyilel Ward Administrator).
