ICT, Trade and Industrialization CECM Dr Emily Kogos has challenged Uasin Gishu County Alcoholic Drinks and Control Board(ADCB) to uphold ethics and integrity while discharging their duties.
Speaking during the inauguration of the board members at the county headquarters, Dr Kogos challenged them to stick to their mandate as required by law.
The Trade CECM further urged reformed addicts to apply for the available government funds to start income-generating activities for economic activities.
“We have different agencies that can help reformers with small funds. Inua Biashara, Cooperatives and Enterprise are among funds given out to such people for employment, ” said Kogos
“Even though it must be regulated, Alcohol is a big business with a huge economic output, ” She added
CECM for Agriculture Samwel Yego who was also present said the inauguration of the board marks the beginning of the end of alcohol menace in Uasin Gishu county.
Mark Tarus, the Kapsoya Ward Administrator is the acting Director of the Agency, other board members include Bishop Philip Rono, Elijah Cherus, Josephine Tireito and Husein Abdullahi.
