The County Government of Uasin Gishu COVID-19 rapid response team together with The Health Management Team on Tuesday held a joint consultative meeting with their Moi Teaching Referral Hospital counterparts to discuss on TB management, Maternal health and covid 19 progress report.
Health Services CECM Dr. Everlyne Rotich, in her presentation said that her Department is working hand in hand with the MTRH to manage severe cases through referrals and also in strengthening the community’s both primary and tertiary health care to ease the access to quality health care to all citizens.
Dr. Rotich further called upon the public not to lower their guard in the fight against the pandemic by always adhering to the Ministry of Health guidelines on COVID-19 prevention measures.
She also challenged residents to be cautious when they come across any signs and symptoms of any disease including TB and quickly seek a diagnosis to be treated early and also curb its spread.
Health Services Director Clinical Services Dr. Ronald Rotich on his part said that the County Government is at the forefront in the fight against the disease and urged the public to follow suit to safeguard their lives.
