Uasin Gishu has been praised to be among the best counties in managerial strategy and service delivery, with the most organized records and organs which has resulted to an exemplary performance across the county.
Speaking at the County Secretary’s office on Thursday while giving a report on the assessment of performance contract, a team from the Division of performance contracting from the office of the president applauded the county, noting that it has shown consistency in its service delivery which is a good indicator of a working system.
According to the team’s chair Mr. Peter Alubale, the County under the leadership of H.E Jackson K Arap Mandago poses the greatest workforce, having the very most committed staff, also noting how the administrative staff has shown by example.
“Since we came over to the County for the performance evaluation, it has been so hard for us as a team to contain our excitement, this is actually the best we have seen in our tour around all the counties we have visited”, noted Alubale.
Mr. Alubale further advised the county to frequently invite evaluation firms who will give guidelines in service delivery and help in working on gray areas.
Giving his remarks, County Secretary Mr. Peter Leley who is also the head of public service ,welcomed the remarks by the team noting that as a county they are going to implement what the team has put in place in order to further improve service delivery.
Mr. Leley noted the achievements the public service sector has achieved so far which includes promotion of more than 270 health workers and the efficient flow of information across the county organs.
The Team on different note applauded the county’s development track record, noting the roads and the bridges as the best ever seen across the country.
The team is in the County for performance contracting and training of county staff in a bid to improve service delivery.
