Uasin Gishu Governor on compensation of security Officers
Uasin gishu governor Jackson Mandago has asked the National Assembly and the Ministry  of Treasury to review and amend legislations on the Compensation of security officers who die while in line of duty.

Speaking during burial of Copl. Philip Lagat who died of in a road accident, Mandago said their should be fairness in compensation of the security men/women irrespective of their  ranks.

He also said officers who work hard and show dedication should be fairly rewarded with promotions.

The governor however urged Kenyans to work with the security officers so as to ensure a secure nation.

“We need to be responsible and cooperate with the police. We also need to be appreciative of the efforts security personnel are doing to make sure we are safe,” Mandago said
