Uasin Gishu County Unveils 6th Edition KICOSCA Participants

The County Government of Uasin Gishu has unveiled a team of 205 players who are set to represent it in the 6th edition of the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) to be held in Kisii County from 12th-18th August 2018.

The team led by head of delegation Mr. Joseph Tanui who is also the Chairman CPSB were flagged off by Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor H.E Hon Daniel Chemno who challenged the team to ensure that they work to their best to sweep all the medals in various disciplines they are set to take part in.

The DG called for total commitment from the players and reminded them to always remember our tagline “The Champions” whenever they are in the field competing.

“Discipline is key in any competition, and so you need to observe it,” Said the Deputy County boss.

On his part, the head of delegation Mr. Joseph Tanui said that the County team is not only going to participate in the forthcoming games but also it is a way of bonding and exchanging ideas with officers from other Counties.

The former 400 Meters hurdles athlete commended the team for upholding highest standards of discipline in last year’s competition in Machakos that propelled the team to perform well.

The team is expected to defend its titles in athletics as well as volley ball both men and women amongst other disciplines.

The team is under the leadership of Mr. Joseph Tanui who is the head of delegation. Mr. Meshack Chemwor who is the team manager and Mr. Amos Bett and Pricilla Letting team captains.

The team will travel to Kisii County on Sunday for the competition.
