County Executive in charge of Finance CPA Julius Rutto has told all suppliers to have absolute confidence and commitment with the County Government of Uasin Gishu.
This comes a day after the National Treasury released 13 counties that have cleared their pending bills as at 30th June 2018, Uasin Gishu being among them.
According to the County Treasury boss, the county government offers due diligence and priority to every supplier that offers services, adding that payments are made having followed the due processes.
Suppliers should have full confidence in us whenever a tender is advertised because budgets precede tendering, “said the CECM
He further explained terms that facilitated the administration into releasing supplier’s payments on time, among them being realigning the departmental work plans to those of procurement.
…We cannot advertise what we have not budgeted for and we urge all the suppliers to complete their tasks within the agreed timelines to avoid rollovers” he noted.
Rutto disclosed that the finance docket will continue with the set terms so as to see both the county administration and the service providers continue enjoying the good working relationship.
We also want to continue being among counties that will be looked up to by suppliers as well as acknowledged by the national treasury on excellent ways of using resources allocated.” Stated CPA Rutto.
