Uasin Gishu County government is ready to support boda-boda operators so as to grow the sector as well as create employment.
Speaking while launching Cars and General motors showroom which sells TVs motorbikes, CECM for Trade, ICT and Industrialization Dr.Emily Kogos lauded the company for promoting trade in the County and assured them of full support from the County Government.
Dr.kogos appreciated the hard work of boda-boda operators and efficient service delivery. She encouraged them to follow the laid down regulations to the letter so as to avoid being on the wrong side of the law.
In addition, she asked the riders to form a Sacco which will enable them access credit facilities which will aid them in improving their businesses.
Present during the event was traffic commander Michael Were who encouraged boda-boda operators to stick to traffic rules and regulations.
