The County Government of Uasin Gishu through the Department of Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Social Services on Tuesday issued Cheques worth 5.4million at Kapseret Sub County.
The disbursed amount to 9 Public Schools in the Sub-County is set to facilitate the completion of Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classrooms that had earlier been started.
The Finance CECM CPA Julius Rutto who was representing the County Boss H.E Hon Jackson Mandago EGH indicated how the County Leadership was selflessly working to ensure that education for the early learners is addressed with utmost seriousness.
Governor Mandago is passionate about the young generation and he has promised to ensure that all Children get a conducive learning environment before his term lapses”, said Rutto.
He also urged the school management committees to ensure all the funds are used appropriately and records kept for future references.
The Executive Committee Member for Education, Joseph Kurgat, lauded the County Government for its passion about young people.
Our Government is constructing ECDE classrooms a course that began during the first term”, noted Kurgat.
He further added that the Finance Department has allocated kshs.300 million for construction of a stadium at Simat, indicating a commendable job by the areas residents in the sports activities.
The Chief Officer Ms. Jane Njuguna urged the Committee members that will be responsible for the construction of the classroom to be transparent and account for all the finances when asked to.
“We shall follow closely these funds to ensure it serves the intended purpose,”said Njuguna.
The cheques were issued in two stations; Simat primary school and Aic Cheptabach feeder school where CPA Julius Rutto commissioned the already constructed classes in the two schools.
The beneficiaries are Simat, Aturei, Kapkagaron, Kosyin, Nairiri, Cheptabach,O’chemina ,Mwiruti and pioneer ECDs.
