Top County officials from the Department of Trade and Industrialization led by County Executive Committee Member Dr. Emily Kogos and Ag. Chief Officer Kipleting Mengich today met with their Kakamega County counterparts to exchange notes on the best way forward to continue empowering local traders to do their business effectively.

Speaking during a courtesy call before embarking on a daylong visit to five modern markets in the western County Dr. Kogos noted the need to work together as devolved units to offer quality services to the citizens.

On their part, Kakamega CECM in charge of trade said that his department will continue working with like-minded Counties like Uasin Gishu to improve service delivery to the locals noting that the two governments share a common border on the west of Uasin Gishu County.

The team visited five complete modern markets in five Sub Counties of Kakamega County.

Kakamega County Secretary Ms. Jecinta Othiambo, ICT and Communication CECM Dr. Akollo Lutomia and other top county officials received the Uasin Gishu delegation.
