THE SECOND BATCH OF INTERNS REPORTS
The second batch of the interns in the ambitious internship program have officially reported and have been posted to various departments as per their areas of specialization.
 
In a meeting held at the County headquarters, the interns were challenged to uphold the highest standards of professionalism during their stay.
 
Speaking while releasing the interns to various Chief Officers and Heads of sections Youth Affairs and Sports Chief Officer Mr. Joseph Maritim asked them to treat the opportunity as God-given and do their work diligently.
 
…this is a perfect opportunity for you to gain work experience in your areas of specialization. You must maximize it by building good rapport and networking to as many organizations as possible.” Said Maritim
 
On her part, Public Service Management Chief Officer Mrs. Ann Koech said the internship program gives them a chance to showcase themselves by practically displaying their skills learned in school.
 
The 2019/20 interns are expected to work with the different County departments for two months before being posted to different organizations that the county has entered a partnership with.
 
The two-year-old program is aimed at providing youth with the necessary skills that can add to their portfolios, creating innovative minds and exposure to job markets.
 
Other Chief Officers were Mr. Julius Rotich (Agriculture) Mr. John Kemboi (ICT), among other county officials.
