In a bid to effectively give safe and portable water, Uasin Gishu County through the Department of water on Tuesday held a consultative meeting with officials from Green Apple Solutions Ltd who showcased their new modern water detector machine (River G) and later headed to one of the expected borehole drilling site to demonstrate how the machine works.
Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Hon Jackson K. Arap Mandago-EGH was pleased with the modern technology machine and went out of his busy schedule to accompany the team to the demonstration site.
Speaking while hosting the team, Chief Officer Water Mr. Simeon Kemei reiterated the county’s priority in water provision.
As a government, we have given priority to water and not just water but quality, clean water to all our residents” Affirmed Kemei.
Water Engineer Mr. Henry Lagat who was also present noted with confidence that the technology is economical and saves time and will be of great benefit due to its ability to determine the depth and salinity of underground water.
River G is a new water detector device and one of a kind worldwide which is very accurate and has a high possibility in giving the results of determining the water depth, density, salinity and type of water whether it is (fresh – salty – very salty).
The device uses geophysical long-range parameters and is able to reach a depth of about 1800 meters in the ground. It is able to detect several aquifers within a range of up to 3000 square meters (Radius).
Director Water Mr. Bob Busungu accompanied the team.
