Uasin Gishu County is miles ahead compared to other counties on matters of revenue collection.These are sentiments of the Kericho county CECM in charge of Public Service Management and Administration Hellen Chepkwony.
Speaking today at the county headquarters when they visited the county revenue offices, Chepkwony said they are impressed with the adoption of the digital e-parking system that has seen the abolishment of issuance of receipts and cash.
“A few years back, I used to pay may parking in Eldoret with cash but things have changed since it is now done through Mpesa” Said the kericho CEC.
The team was taken through all the revenue collection and control processes.
The officers are in the county for a 3-day benchmark mission on matters of administration, revenue roads, and fire and disaster management.
CEC for PSM, Devolution and Administration Barnabas Tarus, Finance CO Peter Chesos, Ag CO Administration Wilson Sawe, Security Advisor Paul Rutto, Director Licencing and Revenue CPA Jonah Lamai were among other county officials present.
