Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago EGH has urged the Ministry of Devolution to enhance and spearhead the Big Four Agenda implementation by rolling out capacity building for counties and offer technical support to enable counties to develop comprehensive County Integrated Development Plans (CIDP) for the 2018-2022 planning cycle.
Giving a keynote address, read on his behalf by the County Deputy Governor Hon. Daniel Chemno, Mandago added that the Ministry is also expected to strengthen strategic partnership with all the counties, where, in this regard, there would be progressive support to County Governments to map out their development priorities to ensure their convergence with the third Medium-term Plan of Vision 2030 in terms of goals, targets, and indicators.
The Governor said this during an 9th Annual International Conference convened by Kenya DAAD Scholars Association( KDSA), held at an Eldoret hotel.
KDSA is a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) program, Kenyan alumni association, whose mandate is to foster academic networking through the organization of various academic activities such as training workshops, international conferences, and dissemination of key academic activities in other areas.
Deputy Chemno thanked the association for choosing Uasin Gishu for this year’s conference themed ‘’The role of Universities and Research Institutions In Realisation of Kenya’s Big Four Agenda’.” As an agricultural hub of Kenya and leading in making sure one of the Big Four Agenda pillars is realized, Uasin Gishu County Government is ready to work with you’’, he added.
