County Government of Uasin Gishu Health CECM Mrs. Everlyne Rotich has called all Health facility committees to ensure that they use resources they get from the government and other development partners prudently.
She spoke, Friday, during a routine inspection of health facilities in Kesses Sub County.
“ We need to exercise prudence in the use of the resources given to us by the Government and Donors for the benefit of our people,” Mrs. Rotich said.
While commenting Kesses Sub County Hospital for good management, the CECM reiterated that her Department is committed to enhancing service delivery to the public in all health facilities across the County so as to safeguard the health of all County residents and beyond.
On her working tour flanked by other Departmental heads, the CECM visited Cheptiret Health Centre, Chepkigen Health Centre, and Kesses Sub County Hospital, where she said that the Government will continue supporting the local facilities to ensure that services are devolved further from County and Sub County levels.
During the visit, the team was interested in knowing the general operations in the hospitals, the workforce in the facility, appropriate use of funds by the facility, committee meetings as well as the workload of each facility. She further said that Uasin Gishu County Government will continue providing equipment, drugs and good working environment to all staff for quality service.
On the ongoing construction of the new Kesses Sub County Hospital, Mrs. Rotich hinted that the first phase of the project is already completed awaiting the completion of the second and third phase before its fully operational.
“Upon completion, this facility will greatly impact on the decongestion of higher level hospitals like MTRH and many operations that were initially channeled there”, added the CECM.
