The County Executive Commitee Member for Water Ms Mary Njogu and ELDOWAS Managing Director Peter Biwott on Friday inspected the first phase of Ziwa Water Project in Ziwa Ward, Soy Sub-County where they noted a good progress of the project.

According to Njogu, the project is set to turn around the lives of the residents as some are already using the water to irrigate their farms and improve their livelihoods.

The project draws water from Ziwa Dam 3 which was recently desilted by the county. It has two community water points at Ziwa centre and at the Police post. It serves over 1200 households, Ziwa TTI, Ziwa NCPB and Ziwa Secondary School.
