Provision of sufficient and reliable power supply is key to industrialization, Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno has said.
Chemno spoke, Tuesday at the the African Economic Zone , Plateau Kesses Sub- county during the launch of a ash 17 Billion Solar Power installation which is set to supply electricity to the Industrial Park.
“ The County Government of Uasin Gishu welcomes Selenkei & Cendate Power project. This project will ensure reliable and affordable power for our local industries while supplying more energy to the national grid,” Chemno said.
The 80 Megawatt solar power project set to be completed in the next 18 months will be set on a 800 acre parcel of land adjacent to the African Economic Zone.
Speaking during the function, AEZ chair David Lagat thanked Governor Mandago’s administration for providing the necessary support and a good business environment for Investor to set up shop.
Selenkei & Cendate Solar becomes the eight multi-million dollar investor to establish their presence in Uasin Gishu County.
