  • Revival of dormant and establishment of new corporative societies in Uasin Gishu County

  • Promoting youth agriculture through “Kijana na acre” program
  • Subsidizing Artificial Insemination services at 50-50
  • Empowering women in poultry farming through “Inua Mama na kuku” Program i.e supplying chicks to women groups
  • Reduction of notifiable livestock diseases by about 67%
  • Promotion of farmers training and advisory from the soil testing through county mobile soil testing laboratory

H.E. Hon. Jackson K. Arap Mandago has over 15 years of experience both in public and private sector on issues of governance institutionalization of use of information systems in management having been credited for transforming the ministry of education and the largest teachers’ management in Africa in to adopting efficient service delivery and effective use of technology in decision making. He also developed institution of learning management systems which is currently being used in many institutions in Kenya and east Africa region.

He implemented strategic teacher management programs in Kenya and also implemented resource mapping and management for the ministry of education.

Mandago has also successfully turned around infrastructure development programs in Kenya to ensure that country infrastructure which include roads, energy and water management are well structured.  In the current Council of governors’ leadership he serves as the vice chairman of Agriculture committee in the council summit.

He has heavily been involved in community mobilization and the education for marginalized groups in Kenya. He is also the patron of the rotary club of Uasin Gishu County and a patron of Agricultural Show of Kenya (ASK) – Eldoret chapter.
