A sigh of relief for the residents of Moi’s bridge Ward, Soy Sub County as a water provision partnership between The County Government of Uasin Gishu and Swedish Municipality of Arvika comes on board.
Arvika has partnered with The County Government of Uasin Gishu in a pact that will see Moi’s Bridge town supplied with clean water and sewerage system.
The County officials accompanied Arvika team led by Mayor Peter Soderstrom and his Vice
Kristina Bengtsson Nilsson to visit existing water projects like the Milimani elevated steel water tank and Moi’s bridge Water treatment plant.
After a public forum that was addressed by the Deputy Governor, drilling of Moi’s bridge water borehole was launched.
Speaking at the event The DG noted that the challenges faced by the people of Mois bridge town are common to any fast-growing urban center hence the need for partnerships.
He further called on the residents to work closely with the county to ensure all projects succeed and have an impact.
CECM for Water Ms. Mary Njogu said that water shortage in Uasin Gishu County is almost coming to an end as the County works day and night to drill more boreholes.
The delegation ended the day-long visitations in Kaprobu mega-dam. The visiting delegation appreciated the work done, Governor Jackson Mandago having explained how the County machinery worked on the dam to save on the cost of constructing the dam.
