Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago EGH has challenged parents to invest heavily in their Children’s education.
Speaking in Eldoret during the official launch of the Nova Pioneer schools, Mandago said education is the best investment a parent can give to a child.
Don’t look at the fee being charged. Consider the kind of education your child will get and how being in such a school will shape your child’s future,” Mandago said.
The Nova Pioneer school that will be both girls and boys secondary school is located on a 20-acre piece of land that was built in a record 5 months.
Laptrust fund invested Sh1.6 billion in infrastructure for the school that offers an innovative approach to the Kenya National Curriculum.
I appreciate the time it has taken to put together this project given the challenges that we have always faced in delivering projects in the country for lack of commitment and seriousness of the contractors,” noted the County boss.
Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno on his part welcomed the investment of Nova Pioneer schools and urged parents in Uasin Gishu to take advantage of the unique approach of education the school offers.
Education PS Dr. Belio Kipsang who was the chief guest on his part hailed the role that private schools play helping the ministry attain a 100% transition from primary to secondary school.
He said the government will always work with the private sector in improving the education sector.
Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba, Nandi Deputy Governor and Uasin Gishu County Assembly speaker David Kiplagat were also present.
The opening of the Nova Pioneer School in Eldoret is a major boost to Eldoret town that has recently seen top organizations investing in the county.
It is also a clear proof of how the Governor Mandago-led administration has improved on the conditions of doing business.
Uasin Gishu was ranked as the best county in the ease of doing business by the World Bank and this has seen more investments coming up.
