KPLC PLEDGES TO EXPEDITE COMPLETION OF PAID-UP STREETLIGHTS PROJECTS IN UASIN GISHU

The Kenya Power Company Management has pledged to expedite the completion of all the paid-up projects in 74 schemes in all wards within Uasin Gishu County within the timelines that were set for all the projects.

Today, a delegation from the County Government of Uasin Gishu held a meeting with the KPLC’s top management at Stima Plaza, Nairobi. The team was led by Langas MCA Hon. Francis Muya and Director Energy Eng.Julius Ronoh while KPLC’s team was led by General Manager in charge of Infrastructure development Eng. Kennedy Oduor.

The discussions revolved around the paid for but stalled street lighting and transformer installation projects. The projects allocated funds for the 2021/22 financial year and implementation strategies laid out. The Uasin Gishu County under Governor Jackson K.Arap Mandago has made great strides through the Department of Roads, Transport, Energy, and Public Works by ensuring enhanced security, access to electricity, and promotion of a 24-hour economy through street lighting installations.
