KISIP MARKS CLOSURE OF PHASE 1 PROJECTS AS PHASE 2 SETS IN

Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Projects (KISIP) National Coordinator Mrs. Peris Mang’ira today ended her two-day award and closure of projects that were done in Uasin Gishu County within several informal settlements including, Kimumu, Kamukunji, Maili Nne, Racecourse, Hill School, Huruma and Kuinet.

Mrs. Mangira commended the county and all the project settlement committees that ensured that projects were delivered without interference.

“Uasin Gishu leadership was able to deliver the projects as required and for this we applaud the team that made KISIP 1 a success. We had cases in other counties where wrangles were witnessed and projects were not done, but Uasin Gishu County has done exceptionally well and has been approved for the second phase of KISIP.

The team that included the project supervisors, Members of County Assembly, social safeguards officers, administration, Chiefs, Village elders and members of the sec committees were awarded with certificates for the work done.
