KERITA WATER PROJECT KICKS OFF

Residents of Kerita, Cheptiret-Kipchamo Ward will have access to adequate water supply this after the County Government of Uasin Gishu through the Department of Water plans to establish a water project in Kerita Dam.

Kerita water project will see the construction of a masonry borehole with a filtration channel that will draw water from the deep end of the dam to the borehole through pipes and later pumped upstream through solar power system to an elevated steel tank.

Speaking during an inspection visit, County Water Engineer Charles Tanui confirmed that the project is expected to serve the neighbouring schools and about 60 households both for irrigation and domestic purposes.
