KENYA CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE TAKING SHAPE IN UASIN GISHU

The Kenya Climate-Smart Agriculture Project(KCSAP) has made great strides across the county since it was launched in February, this year by Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Jackson Mandago EGH.

Uasin Gishu is among 24 counties that benefited from the world bank funded program which its agenda is to uplift communities through driven developments.

At least two wards in 3 Sub-Counties Tulwet/Chuiyat and Tarakwa in Kesses, Kapsoya, Ainabkoi/Olare in Ainabkoi and Kapkuress and Kipsomba in Soy Sub Counties are the beneficiaries of the program which focuses on different value chains among them dairy, sweet potato farming among others.

The County’s project coordinator Mr Cosmas Langat on Friday launched a hatchery machine that contained more than 2000 eggs and a milk ATM machine for two groups in Kapsoya Ward.
