Uasin Gishu County Government through the department of ICT, Trade and Industrialization on Wednesday rolled out a familiarization exercise with investors within the County.
According to the CECM Dr Emily Kogos, this will provide a clear picture on what the investors intend to do in the County.
Dr. Kogos added that her docket will be able to have a database of various investors.
“We have realized that many businesses are mushrooming but their profiles and other relevant information is not captured by the County Government” said Dr Kogos after visiting Kenknit and Crater Automobiles companies.
The CECM reiterated that the move is in line with the support of the National Government’s big four agenda where Industrialization is part of it.
“As a department, we are working on the development of an investment policy that will be effective soon. This will be implemented during the new financial year” Said Jonah Lamai Ag. Director Licensing.
