The County Government of Uasin Gishu will partner with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) in a move geared towards training some of the county residents as the insurance champions.
The move that is aimed at training more than 60 people from across the entire county is an initiative that will equip trainees with skills of championing the insurance.
The county Deputy governor H.E Daniel Chemno while with the IRA representatives in his office on Wednesday said the move is important as most of the county residents are conversant with the insurance bodies.
“Most of the residents are well informed on insurance. Some are real farmers that need to insure their investment and properties”said Chemno
The training will also target people from various institutions including chiefs, chamber of commerce, cooperatives, KNUT, church, women and people with disabilities (PWDs).
The insurance industry will set mobile clinics across the county to sensitize public for the training that is scheduled for 30th November-1st December.
