The County Department of Roads, Transport, Public works and Energy is undertaking the construction of a vital bridge at Kaptagat ward, Ainabkoi Subcounty that connects two villages in the ward.
For a long time, the residents of the two villages, Tendwo and Kabitoi couldn’t get direct access to either village without having to go all the way around the dam.
In an inspection of the bridge by county team led by Ag. Director Roads Eng. Linus Yego, Assistant Resident Engineer for the project Eng. Alex Mutai, county Surveyor Paul Chepsiros and other officers, it was clear that the bridge had come in handy to the community in Kaptagat ward.
Eng. Yego noted that the structural works for the box culvert was over 70% and noted that the contractor had done most of the expected works to 100% from bush clearing, construction of temporary bridge river diversion and walls done. The bridge is set for completion by end of July.
