INSPECTION OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS AT KESSES LEVEL IV HOSPITAL

Chief officer for the Department of Roads, Transport, Public works and Energy Eng. Barnabas Too, on Saturday, inspected the progress of construction works for the county’s flagship project of Kesses Level IV Hospital.

Eng. Too, who was accompanied by the county’s architect Mr Shadrack Kiplagat and Quantity Surveyor Mr Simon Koech, urged the contractor to work with speed to ensure the work is completed at the stipulated time frame.

Eng. Too was pleased with progress as most excavation works on bases, strip footing, underground water tank and columns were already done. The contractor had also brought in quality construction materials to ensure the outcome of works done was satisfactory.

We are carrying out routine inspections on the progress to see that all our projects attain the required quality, so that wananchi get their value for money,” noted Eng. Too.

The 200-bed capacity hospital will have the following units including- Dental, Theatre, maternity, Antenatal, pediatric unit and morgue services.
