INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT IN MOI’S BRIDGE SETS NEW FACELIFT FOR THE TOWNSHIP

County Executive Committee Member in charge of the Department of Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Eng. Nelson Maritim has lauded the progress of the road works at Moi’s Bridge which is way ahead in work progress versus the time lapsed.

The project which began in January is anticipated to be completed by end of April as works done is already at 65% into completion.

This has seen drainage works and culverts completed and stone hand-packing already in progress.

I want to emphasize on quality workmanship especially in stone hand-packing, this has to be done correctly, as it will ensure a longer duration of the road,” said Eng. Maritim

Chief officer for Physical Planning and Urban Development Mr Kenneth Mbeka asked the contractor to ensure work is completed before the start of long rains.

The road leading to various public utilities in Moi’s Bridge will have a two side Non-Motorized Transport of 2 metres.

Later, Eng. Nelson Maritim led the team of planners in coming up with a possible master plan, design and layout of Moi’s Bridge market set for construction by the Department of Trade.
