Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot on Wednesday hosted the High Court Presiding Judge Hon. Reuben Nyakundi and the High Court Registrar Hon. Onkoba Rosemary who paid a courtesy visit at his county headquarters office ahead of the launch of Uasin Gishu County Court Users Committee (CUC) meeting which is slated to take place on Friday the 26th May 2023 at an Eldoret Hotel.

Eldoret High Court is in the process of establishing an effective county CUC that will deliver key pillars on access to justice.

Eng. Barorot while affirming that access to justice is a human right said the county government has commenced an initiative in the digitization of operations and services and in this case asked the judiciary for support and facilitation to ease access to justice at the grassroots level and expedite judicial matters.

Hon. Nyakundi said to ensure accountability, efficient, effective, and consultative approach to the delivery of justice, a CUC is to be established at the county level of the High Court station within the county.
