The County Government of Uasin Gishu is keen on enhancing the health sector through various partnerships that will bolster healthcare systems, therefore, improving the health standards of the residents.
Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Mrs Joyce Sang, on Tuesday morning, hosted officials from the National Malaria Control Program who are in the County to conduct random spot checks of the disease and also discuss possible ways to control malaria.
She noted that malaria cases are high in Turbo, Soy and Kapseret Sub Counties therefore the need to conduct frequent outreaches to educate the residents on the killer disease.
We need to work with you in the mentorship program for our residents so that they can know how to protect themselves from the diseases because it can kill you if you don’t put up measures to control,” said Sang.
