COUNTY PARTICIPATORY CLIMATE RISK ASSESSMENT REPORT AND CLIMATE CHANGE ANNUAL PLAN VALIDATED

Uasin Gishu residents have been challenged to be ambassadors of climate change even as the county maps out the hazards affecting the communities.

This was said by Director Environment and Climate Change Dr. Charles Nyabayo during a Participatory Climate Risk Assessment (PCRA) and County Climate Action Plan (CCAP) validation exercise in Eldoret.

The event was attended by representatives from every ward and several stakeholders from relevant sectors.

Our actions today in climate change mitigation and adaptation activities will be seen in the years to come,” added Dr. Nyabayo.

The stakeholders present lauded the County for the move which they say will make the residents resilient to climate change both socially and economically.

The priority areas highlighted will assist the county to attract funding from the World Bank through the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action Program (FLLoCA)
