CONSTRUCTION OF KIMUMU BAHATI MARKET SHADES TO BEGIN SOON AS COUNTY HANDS OVER THE PROJECT TO THE CONTRACTOR

Traders in Kimumu Bahati wholesale market are soon going to benefit from the construction of a market shade to cushion the overspill of traders who are currently selling their goods outside the premise due to the huge population.

Speaking on Friday when she toured the facility, County Executive Committee Member for Trade and Cooperatives Martha Cheruto accompanied by Trade Director Kipleting Mengich, trade officers Edwin Korir and Wycliffe Wesonga assured traders that the project is ready to kickstart following today’s handing over to the contractor.

“The Governor is very keen on the creation of a conducive business environment for all traders. Therefore let’s ensure that the market shade is constructed to meet all the trader’s needs,” said Cheruto.

The contractor who was present during the visit promised to take the shortest time possible to complete the construction of the shades according to the plan.
