On Thursday, the County Government of Uasin Gishu through the Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works continued with the improvement exercise of opening waterways and drainage lines in areas that experienced significant impacts and damages caused by floodwater as a result of heavy rainfall.
The disruption was experienced in Mois Bridge, Kimumu, Kuinet Kapsuswa, Kapsaos, and Tembelio wards posing a threat to the health, transport and agriculture sectors.
The County Government engineers, operators and road inspectors moved swiftly following a directive from H.E Governor Jonathan Bii for immediate action to ensure the resilience of infrastructure networks to continue supporting the safety and wealth of residents and enhance the mobility of goods and services for sustainable economic development.
