County Executive Committee Member in charge of Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Martha Cheruto has called on all Sub County officers from across the departments to consider sharing available resources to facilitate the easy running of government services to the residents.
Speaking on Wednesday at Moiben market during a meet-traders and market committees tour of the Sub-County to ascertain general business challenges affecting traders, Cheruto said her docket aims to promote trade in the county for traders and general business people to grow themselves economically.
She called on traders who are not members of cooperative societies to ensure they join the existing movements for them to benefit from Governor Bii Administration’s Inua Biashara and the Enterprise Funds among other benefits.
We are soon going to roll out training of traders on financial management, sustainability among other aspects to enable you to do businesses for growth,” noted Cheruto.
And on matters markets, she emphasized the need of observing hygiene by ensuring that enough water is provided adding that garbage and other market waste have to be frequently collected across the existing premises.
As we strive to provide all these necessities, remember that as a trader, you have the responsibility of paying for the services by acquiring the needed documentation (licences) for your smooth operations” she added.
The CECM who was accompanied by the Ward Administrator, representatives from the office of MCAs and trade officers also visited the Karandili cattle auction to check on its status and possible ways to revive it and Kapsiliot hills.
