Alcoholic Drinks Control Board Acting Director Koiya Arap Maiyo on Wednesday joined Eldoret-based journalists in marking International Press Freedom Day at Muiyengwet dispensary, Moiben Sub County themed; Freedom, peace and the Conservation of Climate.

While addressing the journalists, Koiya noted the need to conserve the environment to mitigate climate change where he also led a tree planting exercise of 3000 seedlings.

He encouraged the community to minimize the production, distribution and sale of illicit brew in the society to guarantee sobriety and hence stable economic manpower.

“We are going to work with media so they can educate the public on their obligation,” he said.
