In enhancing the reproductive health systems, The County Department of Health Services received Eight Thermo Ablators from the National Cancer Control Program and 11 Fetal Doppler’s from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) to enhance cancer screening, treatment and reproductive health in the region.
Speaking while receiving and distributing the equipments,Chief Officer Preventive and Promotive Health Mrs Joyce Sang appreciated the donors remarking that the equipment will greatly improve service.
We can kick out cancer through screening because you can not treat what you have not diagnosed, ” she expressed.
She added that the department is working on strategies to enhance the health sector for healthy manpower to spur socioeconomic growth.
Kipkabus, Burnt Forest, Pioneer, and Kesses received the thermo ablators while Kapsoya, Kapteldon and West Maternity received fetal Doppler’s among other facilities.
