COUNTY ENGAGES KAPSOYA  RESIDENTS IN PUBLIC PARTICIPATION EXERCISE ON BUDGET ESTIMATES

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is keen on working with the residents in undertaking the development programs through public participation.

The County Department of Finance and Economic Planning on Tuesday marked the second day of the budgetary public participation for the financial year 2023/2024 where the locals were given a chance to air their views about the budget estimates for the prioritised areas.

Economic Planning Chief Officer Victorine Kapkiai noted that the residents have the say and the County Government is obligated to listen to their views for implementation.

We need to equitably involve the residents for satisfactory service delivery and this has seen us come to Kapsoya to collect your views,” she added.

Outgoing Chief Officer CPA. Millicent Okonjo noted the Governor’s commitment to serving his people pointing out that flagship projects in his blueprint manifesto include water, security, quality and affordable Health care, agriculture, the establishment of a County industrial park, Roads, Youth affairs, affordable housing, street lighting, and establishment of the multi-purpose hall for the youth.
