Roads, Transport and Public Works County Executive Committee Member Eng. Joseph Lagat on Thursday led the handing over exercise of a Box Culvert in Ngara Falls, Kapseret Sub-County.

The new Box Culvert will be a crucial link between Chepyakwai and Ngara Falls areas in Ngeria ward, Kapseret Sub County. CECM Eng Lagat also inspected the ongoing road projects in Kesses and Kapseret Sub Counties. This included the ongoing works along Shamar -Ouspan -Chebarus Junction road in Ngeria ward.

He told the residents that H.E. Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration will continue to construct new roads that will open up agricultural areas besides improving the network to boost trade.

The residents led by area MCA Richard Kering and Mr Jacob Keter said for many years, crossing the river has remained a challenge, especially during rainy seasons.

The temporary bridge they rely on is normally covered with stormwater. They appreciated the County leadership for the commitment to opening roads to enhance mobility.
