Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor H.E Eng. John Barorot on Tuesday hosted officials from the Council of Governors (CoG) led by Khatra Ali, the Director Health Services who are in the County to assess the level of preparedness in hosting this year’s Devolution conference themed 10 years of Devolution: The Present and Future

The first biennial summit which will be held on August 15-19th will adopt a break-away session format and proposed sessions include urban development, affirmative action, natural resources management, health, agriculture and trade.

We are happy that you have chosen our County and we are ready to play the host, you have our full support that you need to make the day a success”. Said the Deputy Governor.

Khatra Ali said that they will work closely with the selected teams from the County to identify the areas that need to be focused on.

As a team, we have come to collaborate with the County to make sure all the necessary measures have been put in place, We are working closely with various County Departments which include the security team, Health, environment, Communication and trade,” said Khatra

Public Service Management, Administration and Devolved Units, County Executive Member Mr. Elijah Koskei urged the residents to turn up and showcase their innovations during the conference noting that it is the right time to interact with the investors to gain more knowledge.

Chief Officer Mrs Marion Birgen was also present in the meeting.
