The County Government of Uasin Gishu is in talks with a Finnish organization on the improvement of sports and infrastructure in the region.
Deputy Governor Eng John Barorot hosted a delegation from the Finnish city of Lahti, seeking partnership in sporting activities’ enhancement.
Lahti sports hub which is the main player in this visit is a sports sector based on the world-class sports infrastructure know-how that gathers sports business operators which helps companies collaborate globally.
Eng Barorot said the county government welcomes investors and partners to improve on services to the constituents of Uasin Gishu.
He reiterated that the County Government of Uasin Gishu and Finland have very cordial working relations and that an expanded collaboration is highly appreciated.
County Executive for Sports, Eng Lucy Ng’endo said the county administration holds sports as an integral pillar, thus such a partnership is welcomed. She said sports infrastructure will also be vital in Eldoret’s elevation to a city.
The delegation was led by Denis Mustonen who is the head of the foreign affairs City of Lahti, flanked by Isto Vanhmaki.
