MAKING THE COUNTY AN INDUSTRIAL HUB IS MY FOCUS- GOVERNOR BII

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is keen on meeting all the investor requirements to realize the setting up of industries and expansion of the already existing ones.

Speaking on Wednesday at the County Headquarters when he hosted Devki Steel Mills Managing Director, Kaushik Pandit, Governor H.E Jonathan Bii said his administration is keen on making the county an industrial hub.

Our marketing points are pegged on the availability of land, provision of water and electricity, as well as a skilled workforce,” noted Bii.

And while touring a 50 million USD Simba Cement Limited investment plant which is under construction in Cheramei, Kamagut ward, Turbo Sub County, Bii noted that upon completion it will not only provide over 1500 direct and indirect jobs to residents of the county but also open up the region.

Later on, the county boss visited Soi Dairy Industries, which processes 24,000 litres of milk from dairy farmers and sells products under the trademark Elgon Valley.

County Executive Committee Members for Trade and Cooperatives (Martha Cheruto) Roads(Eng Joseph Lagat) Lands (Anthony Sitienei) were among present.
