COUNTY, STANBIC BANK SME CAPACITY BUILDING COMES TO AN END AS TRAINEES SET TO GRADUATE

The County Government of Uasin Gishu in partnership with GIZ/Stanbic Foundation and Stanbic Bank on Friday successfully finalized the capacity building of over 200 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from across the six Sub counties. The beneficiaries are set to graduate next week.

The coaching program was aimed at instilling entrepreneurial skills for them to grow economies and transform lives through job creation within their enterprises.

CECM for Trade, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Ms. Martha Cheruto while addressing the final cohort drawn from Kapseret Sub County urged them to utilize the training opportunity and capitalize on areas that will see them expand their businesses noting that the capacity building program will help the youth and women towards building strong enterprises in line with governor Bii’s Nguzo Kumi manifesto.

“Package your products very well to attract more clients across the country and use social media platforms as well to market them far and wide,” said Cheruto

Cheruto further said officers under her docket will carry out monitoring and evaluation to check on their improvement.

We will support you grow your businesses to improve various economies” noted Acting Chief Officer for Trade Ambrose Tarus.

Emiliana Chepchirchir, SME doing gooseberry products thanked the County Government for capacity building them adding that through the skills, their enterprises will not be the same again.
