WOMEN ARE THE PILLARS OF THE SOCIETY-TRADE CECM CHERUTO

Women have been challenged to be bold enough, to realize their position, take risks, maximize their potential and take up job opportunities that always come along for them to grow themselves, their families and societies.

Addressing Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) Women working under various sectors on Wednesday during the International Women’s Day themed “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality,” County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Martha Cheruto said women have the potential of doing better if given opportunities because they are not only supportive but have a listening ear.

She said women should participate in the economic development of the community, reforms and other activities to be heard by the world and also to realize their capacities.

I urge you to invest in yourselves and prioritize yourselves first. Capitalize on your own personal branding, communication, and confidence among other aspects for you to grow better and wise,” reiterated Cheruto

The CECM also added: “Raise your stage, raise your sight and raise your standard. Get into businesses for personal growth and prove to be that woman who can explore various heights without fear”

KPLC Regional Manager Eng Kipkemoi Kibias encouraged them to continue lighting up and fostering development in society adding that women are moving the world and have big roles to play in societies.
