We are very keen on providing quality health care services to our people by fulfilling our promises as outlined in Governor Bii’s Nguzo kumi manifesto which ensures there is availability of drugs and diagnostics through the improvement of our laboratories.
These were the sentiments of Deputy Governor H.E John Barorot during a working tour to Huruma Sub County hospital in Turbo where he noted that they are working with ElsMed healthcare solutions to provide better diagnostics to the residents.
We have identified Huruma Sub County hospital as a regional centre to distribute emergency drugs and the drones will be picking the samples from the 25 health facilities during the pilot program
…we are running the laboratories through partnership and therefore we will automate all our services for monitoring and immediate response of the results,” says Eng. Barorot.
On his part, County Executive of Health Services Dr. Sam Kotut noted that they have mapped the coordinates of the 25 facilities to be piloted and therefore the staff should embrace the work culture for enhanced and timely service delivery.
He also said that the facility sees up to 400 clients a day and the eye unit has attracted more clients, especially school children and have managed to attend three sub-counties since their role is to provide primary health care.
