Residents of Tapsogoi ward in Turbo sub-county have expressed their joy and satisfaction following the completion of Besiobor-Kosachei bridge and the ongoing construction of Tarus-Murgusi bridge which is 80% into completion.

The Department of Roads, Transport, Energy and Public Works led by resident engineer Benjamin Kirongo accompanied by assistant resident engineer Micheal Keter while on inspection of the projects, said that beyond solving the challenges of road connectivity and network, the bridges will aid the residents who are majorly farmers in accessing markets for their farm produce and products and promoting agricultural activities.

Apart from maize and sugarcane farming, most farmers in the area have embraced high-value crops like coffee, avocado and macadamia, dairy farming and poultry rearing.
