I’m serving the County Residents Equally, Says Governor Mandago

Governor Uasin Gishu County H.E Jackson Mandago has said he is serving the entire county equally and with no marginalisation.

Speaking on Friday at the county headquarters when he issued cheques worth Ksh 211m for development of ECDE centres, Purchase of books and improvement of health facilities across the county, Mandago said his government observes distribution of resources equally for the benefit of the county residents.

Ksh 156m was issued for development of ECDE centres, 50m for health facilities and 5m for the purchase of guide books for ECDE teachers.

“My government has been open in all initiatives targeting betterment of our society. The inua mama na kuku project, kijana na acre initiative, issuance of bursaries and the facilitation of 20 youths from every ward to study in RVTTI have been open to all “said H.E Mandago.

The county boss called on the committee members pointed by the community as supervisors to work hard on delivering the quality and the best in the management of the county projects.

“Expansion of the economy is attained by well utilization of resources. The money given to various projects should be used as the gate way for the youth with variety of skills for opening unseen opportunities for them” added H.E Mandago.


Uasin Gishu County has for the last three years of service achieved construction of over 530 modern ECDE class rooms that has seen a large number of pupil’s enrollment and smooth learning compared to the past years.

“Our aim isn’t building structures alone but improving on the future of the young generation as well as to emerge as the best in results” noted Mandago

“For proper monitoring of ECDE’s, we have plans of incorporating primary school head teachers in management “reiterated the county boss.

The majority leader of The County Assembly Of Uasin Gishu Hon. Josphat Lowoi urged the committee members to stop intruding politics over the projects.

On his part, the county executive in charge of education Mr. Enock Muigei asked the committee to observe accountability in every project.
