Uasin Gishu County Government Health Chief Officer Wilson Kemei has called all project implementation committees to ensure that they use resources they get from the government and other development partners prudently.
Speaking at Ngenyilel dispensary during a routine inspection, Kemei said that the County Government will continue supporting the local facilities to ensure that services are devolved further from County and Sub County levels.
While commending Ngenyilel Dispensary for good management, the Chief Officer thanked H. E. The Deputy President Hon William Rutto for the 20 Million donation he gave to the local dispensary two weeks ago.
“I wish to thank the deputy president for the donation he gave for expansion of this facility” Said Kemei.
“As a County Government we are ready to partner with other external donors for the sole purpose of improving our services in all our facilities” Added the Chief Officer.
He said that Uasin Gishu County Government will continue providing equipment and good working environment to all staff for quality service.
He ordered the County Chief Nurse Esther Muigei who had accompanied him during the tour to post more nurses saying that the facility had huge catchment area and the need for more staff was prudent.
“Ensure that you post another nurse in this facility latest by next week to assist with the work load” Instructed Kemei.
The Chief Officer made other stop overs at Kapteldon Sub County Hospital and Kapserton dispensary.
In Kapteldon Sub County Hospital, Kemei inspected the ongoing construction of the facility saying that the work will be complete by July this year.
He said that congestion in the facilities will be reduced once the 60 bed capacity ward construction is complete.
In Kapserton dispensary the CO urged staff to corporate will the local management committee for the betterment of the locals.
He also said drug supply shall be enhanced.
